A new scam dubbed "The AI Voice Scam" has emerged, using artificial intelligence to clone the voices of loved ones and demand ransom, as seen in the case of a Brooklyn couple, Robin and Steve. With advancements in AI, companies like ElevenLabs can create convincing voice clones with minimal audio samples, posing legal and ethical challenges regarding privacy and fraud prevention.

Concerns have been raised about Google's company culture, particularly regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, sparking internal debates on their impact on morale and decision-making processes. Former employees have shed light on patterns of bias within Google's core products, such as the Gemini AI chatbot, prompting questions about AI training and tech companies' responsibility.

Shane Jones, a Microsoft engineer, has sounded the alarm over AI systems like Copilot Designer, warning of their potential to generate harmful images, including sexualized depictions of women. He has alerted the FTC Chair Lina Khan, sharing examples of inappropriate content despite benign user prompts, after his internal warnings within Microsoft were allegedly ignored.
